Life’s challenges, past traumas, and daily stressors can take a toll on your emotional and physical well-being. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, chronic pain, or a sense of disconnection, therapy offers a space to heal and rediscover your inner strength.

I take a trauma-informed, body-centred approach to therapy, helping you process and release stored trauma, reconnect with your body’s wisdom, and cultivate resilience. My work supports adults dealing with:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Trauma and PTSD
  • Attachment and relational wounds
  • Childhood developmental trauma
  • Chronic pain and illness
  • Stress and emotional overwhelm
  • Numbness
  • Self-regulation and difficulties of dysregulation
  • Anger and other emotional states
  • Life transitions and self-discovery
  • Inner child healing
  • Loss and bereavement

By integrating somatic healing, mindfulness, and deep relational work, I guide you toward greater self-awareness, emotional regulation, and a renewed sense of wholeness. You don’t have to navigate this journey alone—I’m here to support you every step of the way.

A holistic approach to therapy emphasizes the nature of healing, recognizing that true wellness encompasses all aspects of a person's being—physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual. By incorporating a variety of therapeutic modalities and techniques, integrative approach aims to address the diverse needs of each individual, fostering a deeper understanding of oneself and promoting self-directed healing and growth.

Healing, growth, and transformation—at your own pace.

Children and adolescents experience the world in unique ways, and when they face challenges—whether from trauma, anxiety, depression, or life transitions—they may struggle to express what they’re feeling. Through compassionate and developmentally appropriate therapy, I create a safe space where young people can explore their emotions, build resilience, and develop healthy coping skills.

Using a body-centred, trauma-informed approach and creative tools, I support children and teens dealing with:

  • Anxiety/Panic attacks
  • Depression
  • Academic stress/Stress
  • Trauma
  • Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs)
  • Attachment and Relational challenges
  • Emotional regulation
  • Behavioural concerns
  • Defiance
  • Risky behaviours
  • Chronic stress & overwhelm
  • Identity & self-esteem struggles
  • Suicidal thoughts/ideation
  • Self-injury/harm
  • Eating challenges and struggles
  • Bullying

Through creative and somatic techniques, I help children reconnect with their innate wisdom, process difficult emotions, and find a sense of safety within themselves and the world around them. Whether your child is feeling stuck, withdrawn, or overwhelmed, I’m here to support their healing journey.

Play therapy is used with young children to explore their inner world. Parents are involved in the process with support alongside the process.

Further support for parents is free.

What is Somatic Inquiry?

A therapeutic approach that emphasizes the role of the body in processing emotions, trauma, and psychological experiences. It is based on the understanding that emotional and psychological issues are not just stored or experienced cognitively (in the mind), but also somatically (in the body).

Core Concepts of Somatic Inquiry:

Mind-Body Connection: The body and mind are seen as interconnected, with the body holding implicit memories and emotional responses that may not be accessible through talk therapy alone.

Trauma and the Body: Traumatic experiences often manifest as physical sensations or patterns (e.g., tension, numbness, chronic pain), and healing may require working with these embodied expressions directly.

Awareness and Sensation: The therapy involves cultivating awareness of bodily sensations, movements, and internal states as a way to access and process underlying emotions or unresolved trauma.

Regulation and Integration: Somatic Inquiry helps clients regulate their nervous systems and integrate previously unprocessed experiences by using the body as a gateway to healing.

Nonverbal Expression: The approach values nonverbal communication (such as posture, breath, movement) as meaningful expressions of inner states.

Techniques Used:

Body scanning: Tuning into different parts of the body to notice sensations or tensions.

Somatic tracking: Following the felt sense of emotion or discomfort as it shifts in the body.

Grounding and resourcing: Helping clients feel safe and present in their bodies.

Movement or gesture: Allowing spontaneous or intentional physical expression to help process emotional content.

Therapeutic Goals:

Increase bodily awareness and presence.

Access and process "stuck" emotional material.

Restore a sense of safety and agency in the body.

Foster deep integration of cognitive and emotional insights.
